This Pommard wine has a dark red color with intense and percussive aromas of black currant, musk and game. Acidity well-marked and a mellowness that only appears after a minimum of maturation. Well-marked acidity.

A sense of freshness and iron oxide perfumes cherry notes on this wine's nose. The same expressive fruit pervades the firm palate where fine tannins crunch and heighten the juiciness and freshness even more. It's a joyous yet elegant wine.

A terrific village wine, the 2018 Pommard Les Vielles Vignes reveals a vibrant translucent ruby hue as well as a sweet nose of ripe black raspberries, wild strawberries, roasted herbs, and spice. This carries to a medium-bodied, lush, seamless Pommard with a beautiful core of sweet fruit, present yet ripe and integrated tannins, and a beautiful finish. A ripe, up-front, perfumed 2018, it should keep for 10-12 years.

Assertive, gritty tannins leave their mark on the bright black cherry fruit in this sinewy red. It has intensity and length, with a chewy feel on the fresh finish. Best from 2023 through 2037. 400 cases imported.

Offering up aromas of sweet red berries and cherries, mingled with hints of forest floor, the 2018 Pommard Vieilles Vignes is medium to full-bodied, with powdery tannins, succulent acids and a pretty core of fruit. It has turned out nicely in bottle.

The 2018 Pommard Les Vieilles Vignes offers dark berry, earthy fruit with touches of raisin coming through with aeration. This seems to be a little over-ripe for a Pommard. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannins on the entry, bitter cherry and white pepper furnishing the mid-palate with a structure finish that needs more grace and elegance.
