Light straw in color with bright yellow highlights. Aromas of golden apples, pear and honey. Well-balanced acidity provide a fresh and lively mouthfeel with a clean dry finish. This wine is perfect alone as an aperitif or as a delightful complement to appetizers such as prosciutto or mild cheeses. Excellent as a base for Bellinis and other sparkling wine cocktails.

Pale green with a persistent froth. A whiff of sulfur blows off to reveal simple green apple and floral aromas.Bright and fresh, with uncomplicated flavors similar to the aromas. Finishes with decent length and a hint of sweetness.

Mionetto's NV Prosecco Brut is a solid, reliable offering with good varietal character and balance. Still, it would be nice to see this large house make more ambitious wines. I recently saw Mionetto's Prosecco being poured in one of Manhattan's most fashionable hotel bars and couldn't help thinking that Prosecco can be so much more. If the region's top producers are truly serious about protecting the integrity of the Prosecco brand, the first place to start is by putting a higher quality product in the bottle. This is Lot: L10099. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2011.

Fun and informal, this simple, lightly scented sparker has subtle aromas of apple that carry over to the racy palate along with a citrusy note. Brisk acidity gives it a crisp finish.

Crisp acidity frames this light, floral Prosecco, which shows hints of peach skin and stone. Drink now.
